The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Remembrance and Service is Montgomery’s County opportunity for everyone to “spend a day on not a day off.” according to former County Executive Isaiah “Ike” Leggett. Around the country communities host events to encourage volunteer participation. TravelTelevision visited events in Silver Spring and the Bethesda Marriott conference center. In previous years we visited various volunteer events around the county.
